Samarpita Samaddar joins Bumble today as India PR Director. She joins from Zee Studios, where she was the PR Lead. Based in Mumbai, Samaddar will lead the brand’s communications strategies and PR-led campaigns in India. Her new role will see her liaising closely with the global communications team.

At Zee Studios, Samaddar drove communications for the studio to help establish it as one of India’s leading film studios. Her duties also included handling corporate communications and PR outreach for the studio along with leading PR for all its film campaigns.

She has over a decade of experience in building brands across several sectors including entertainment, the arts, lifestyle, sports, among others. Over the years, she worked with India Foundation for the Arts (IFA), where she helped carve a space for artists, researchers, scholars in Indian mainstream media, and other organisations including Eros International, working on a diverse portfolio of successful, award-winning film campaigns in multiple languages including Khaali Peeli, Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari, Dhadak, Aligarh, Newton (India’s official entry to Oscars in 2016), Hotel Mumbai, Article 15, Nil Battey Sannata, Bajirao Mastani, Good Newwz, Manikarnika-The Queen of Jhansi to name a few.
