Introduction: Communication is applied in business commerce industry politics and sports as these cannot survive without critical input of communication. Communication is applied in business now a days and businesses cannot function without communication. Businesses use telephones telex internet and communication media to carry out organisational communication PR advertising and others. Advertising has emerged as a major tool now to increase business or commercial interests globally and to aid in marketing sales and business promotion in great measures.
In science applied communication is to communicate the scientific findings to the whole world and benefit them in great extent. Science communication has merged in a big way and books pamphlets and scientific literature publishing is also a major activity in India and other countries. Science journalism has come about and what is happening in major laboratories are told to the whole world and science journalism is practiced by major newspapers and broadcast media in large number.
Applied communication in industry is in business communication in using office communication systems and media communication systems and the like Apart from that organizational communication systems like employee communication tools bulletin boards and meeting places and media are there in business.
Applied communication in agriculture are print media broadcast media and others used to promote agricultural productivity to increase outputs. Agricultural extension is one of the ways of communication lab to land and other schemes of government to benefit farmers and others. IAMWARM agriculture-oriented project used communication media of pamphlets brochures leaflets local cable TV among others TNAU has agriculture communication unit and teaching goes there also
In health communication is applied in diagnosing and curing patients as doctor patient communication is important in cancer cure and diagnosis. Communication in clinical meetings advances health and medical research and goes long way in curing patients. ICMR needs medical and health communication to spread awareness of diseases and cure required for such.
In industry applied communication is in various roles employee communication Advertising PR and corporate communication and for other positions also it is used. Industry promotes manufacturing and other activities and applied communication is used in various roles. In industry service sector it is used in line functions and in carrying out various communication roles.
In commerce applied communication helps wholesalers, retailers and others to carry out their activities and helps in increasing businesses in large number. It is useful to small and large businesses to promote goods and market effectively in changing environment. It also helps in promotion of exports and facilitates businesses to foreign countries and places
In government it helps to carry out government business facilitates contacts with public hear their grievances and helps governments to serve public effectively. Applied communication helps government to function smoothly and effectively to address every one of society in effective manner Government use communication in planning management and in coordinating with stake holders on a day-to-day level.
In sum applied communication is used widely in business commerce government and health and many useful activities are carried out with it. It makes the work successful and effective in handling public problems and prospects effectively and carry out day to day work on regular basis. Applied communication has bright future in countries like India USA in coming days also.
